The project, from conception through construction, is a model of progressive erosion, sedimentation and pollution control (ESPC). From the implementation and monitoring of seep berms and other construction phase best management practices to the creation of bio-retention cells, enhanced swales and a constructed wetland, Rock Mill Park effectively treats storm-water runoff at its source. Mike Breedlove, RLA, FASLA, CPESC, LEED AP and Alan Wieczynski, RLA, ASLA, LEED AP of Breedlove Land Planning, Inc. will provide an overview of the design and highlight many of these sustainable site features in detail. Mike is also Chairman of the Rockdale Soil and Water Conservation District and Chairman of the Georgia State Board of Landscape Architects. |
